Asher Agbinone, the Crystal Palace star, confirms he is qualified to don the Super Eagles jersey for Nigeria.

After progressing through the youth ranks, Agbinone made his Premier League debut with Crystal Palace against Nottingham Forest in October 2024, having joined the club at the U9 level. At 19, he holds eligibility to represent both the Republic of the Congo’s Red Devils through his mother and Nigeria's Super Eagles through his father. Despite this, the promising forward remains uncapped internationally, as none of the three countries he can play for have called him up.

Agbinone has confirmed his eligibility to play for all three nations, including Nigeria's Super Eagles. In an interview with Palace TV, he shared, "South London is a very diverse place. My mom's from Congo, my dad is from Nigeria. Whenever someone asks me where I am from, I tell them. I can never forget where I’m from, it shaped who I am today."

He emphasized that growing up in South London, a melting pot of cultures, played a key role in shaping his identity, with strong ties to both his Congolese mother and Nigerian father.
