Vardy Urges Leicester City to Escape the Clutches of Relegation Battle.
Jamie Vardy has vowed that Leicester City will fight tooth and nail to climb out of the relegation zone, as the team’s once-bright hopes have dimmed in recent months.
Under the leadership of manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, the Foxes continue to struggle for form. Following a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, Vardy spoke to TNT Sports, highlighting the team’s need for improvement.
“I don’t know if it’s a mental or physical issue,” he admitted. “We’ll analyze it and figure it out. It’s frustrating because none of us want to be in this position. We need to deliver for the full 90 minutes—playing well for just one half isn’t enough.”
Vardy acknowledged that adapting to van Nistelrooy’s methods has been a process. “We haven’t been with the gaffer long, but we’re making progress with his style. It’s about putting it all together for the entire match.”
Despite their struggles, the striker remains optimistic. “Confidence is always there, but results haven’t gone our way. Football is all about results, and tonight wasn’t what we wanted. But we’ve got another game coming up quickly, and we need to turn things around.”
